Ada Pearl Loveless, 81, West Ky. 635, Science Hill, died Wednesday, September 22, 1993 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital following a long illness.

She was born January 22, 1912, daughter of the late Augustus and Ida Mae Ard Higginbotham. She was a homemaker, former retail clerk at A.P. Vaught and Ed Gibson's Store in Science Hill, member of Science Hill Garden Club, and charter member of Northside Baptist Church where she was an active member before becoming ill.

Survivors include two daughters, Ethel (and Louie) VanHook and Wanda (and Gerald) Dick, both of Science Hill; two brothers, Harold Higginbotham, Cedar Grove and Clarence "Doc" Higginbotham, Dayton, Ohio; a sister, Virginia McCoy, Burgin; four grandchildren, Peggy Stokes, Debbie Stringer, Stephanie Yahnig, and Stewart Dick; and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Herlen Loveless, whom she married on December 2, 1930, and who died April 27, 1981; a brother, Frank Higginbotham; two sisters, Effie Adams and Elsie Irvine; and two half sisters, Hardy Todd and Lula Hines.

Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at Northside Baptist Church with the Rev. Randy Chestnut and Bro. Frank Spillman officiating.

Burial will be in Science Hill Cemetery.

Friends may call after 5:30 p.m. today at Morris and Hislope Funeral Home.
