Peter P. Wasinger, 96, of Linn, MO, died Dec. 25 at St. Joseph's Nursing Home where he had been a resident for 14 years.

He was born April 28, 1894 in Aurora, CO (sic-s/b Aroya, see below and attached), son of Peter N. and Marianna (Geier) Wasinger. He moved from Victoria, Kansas to Linn, MO in 1940.

He was a Veteran of Foreign Wars, having served in France during World War I. He was a member of the Married Men's Solality of St. George Catholic Church, Linn, MO, and a retired farmer in Linn.

Survivors include six sons, Emil A. Wasinger, St. Louis, MO; Emanuel J. Wasinger, St. Louis, MO; Felix P. Wasinger, Denver; Wilfred E. Wasinger, Lawrenceburg, IN; Marion F. Wasinger, Hannibal, MO; Thomas L. Wasinger, Titusville, FL; four daughters, Lucille Grelle, St. Louis, MO; Berince Voss, Linn, MO; Sister Bernita A. Wasinger, S.S.N.D., St. Martins, MO; Mary C. Wasinger, Springfield, MO; 33 grandchildren, 50 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his wife Susanna (Hammerschmidt) Wasinger, a son Robert M. Wasinger, Houston, TX, and a granddaughter Kristine Wasinger.

Funeral services were Thursday, Dec. 27 at 11 a.m. at St. George Church, Rev. John J. Johnson officiated; interment was at St. George Catholic Cemetery, Linn, MO.
