Earl K. Wheatley, 72, of Newbern, passed away on Thursday, March 5, 2015 at his residence.
He was a retired factory worker for Dyersburg Fabrics, where he worked in the cloth finishing department. Earl was a former employee with the maintenance department at the Dyersburg Municipal Golf Course. He was an avid golfer and hunter.
He was a U.S. Army Veteran.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with the Rev. Don Williams officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery at a later date.
The family will receive visitors from 2-3 p.m. Sunday at Dyersburg Funeral Home.
Survivors include his two daughters, Shane Barrett of Nashville and Ginger Wheatley of Dyersburg; two sons, Jeff Wheatley of Memphis and Brad Wheatley and wife, Deborah, of Friendship; twelve grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Lahoma Maxine Wheatley; his parents; and several brothers and sisters.
