James Kelley, 81, of Valparaiso passed away Thursday, March 19, 2015. He was born January 14, 1934 in Oblong, IL to Alva & Thelma (Reynolds) Kelley, worked as a Besley grinder at Indiana General for 33 years and had owned and operated Kelley Brothers Concrete in Valparaiso. Jim was a member of the Eagles Lodge and V.F.W. Post #988, was an avid fisher, bowler, boater, hunter and pool player who never knew a stranger. On June 6, 1953 he married Jeanne Jones who survives along with their sons, Randy (Tammi) Kelley & Roy Kelley both of Valparaiso, brothers: Larry Kelley, Donald (Joyce) Kelley, Ed (Kathy) Pasley & Bill Kelley, grandsons: Shawn Michiaels, Gregg (Sondra) Michiaels & Robert Kelley, great grandchildren: Brenda, Alex, Tieler & Blake Michiaels and many loving nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a son, Robert, daughter, Brenda Michiaels and brothers, Eugene & John Kelley.
