Funeral services for Mrs. Hazel Stewart, 67, a farm resident of the Culbertson community, who died on Thursday evening of last week in St. Catherine's hospital, McCook, were conducted Sunday afternoon in the First Congregational church in McCook with the Rev. David Thomas officiating. Interment was in the Culbertson cemetery under the direction of the Herrmann funeral home of McCook.

Mrs. Stewart, a native of Culbertson, was a daughter of the late William Bymer. Her marriage to Roy Stewart occurred in 1904 in Atwood, Kansas. Mr. Stewart preceded his wife in death on June 8, 1946. After his death she continued to live on their farm north of Culbertson.

The deceased is survived by 12 of her 13 children. They are: six sons, Cecil of North Platte, Nebraska; Donald, Roy, Virgil, and Wayne of Culbertson; and Orville of Indianola, Nebraska; and six daughters, Mrs. Martha Berns of Culbertson; Mrs. Beulah Miles of Whittier, California; Mrs. Edna Van Fleet of Paxton, Nebraska; Mrs. Lorna Wagner, Mrs. Dorothy White, and Mrs. Joan Gillen of McCook. Other survivors include 37 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, a brother, Roy Bymer of Pawnee, Oklahoma; and a sister, Mrs. Cora Steele of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
