JOHN R. AUGUSTINE
(1900 - 1977)

John R. Augustine, 76, a native of Manitowoc County, died Wednesday at Family Heritage Home, Manitowoc.

Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Friday at Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, and 10 a.m. at St. Anne Catholic Church, Francis Creek. The Rev. James Massart will officiate with burial in the church cemetery, Francis Creek.

Mr. Augustine was born July 7, 1900, at Francis Creek, son of the late John and Frances Pankratz Augustine. He served in the U.S. Army from 1929 to 1932 and lived at Milwaukee after military service, moving to Manitowoc in August of 1976. He was a member of Teamsters Union of Milwaukee.

Survivors include four brothers, Martin and Andrew of Route 1, Whitelaw, Michael, of Manitowoc, and Frank, of Mishicot, and four sisters, Mrs. Mary Grall, of Janesville, Mrs. Anna Gruber, of Francis Creek, Miss Hilda Augustine and Mrs. Clarence (Helen) Schisel, of Manitowoc. Three brothers, Edward, Joseph and Paul, preceded him in death.

There will be no visitation Thursday evening.
