She was born April 9, 1929, in the town of Cato, daughter of the late John and Clara (Tuschel) Gerl. On Nov. 27, 1954, she married Robert J. Miller in Waukegan, Ill. He preceded her in death on Dec. 13, 2002. Annabelle was a press operator at Mirro for 25 years, retiring in 1991.
Survivors include one sister-in-law: Bernice Gerl, Manitowoc; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was also preceded in death by three brothers and one sister-in-law: Harold and Herbert Gerl, Lester and Veronica Gerl; two sisters and one brother-in-law: Sister Francis DeSales and Marion and Edmund Dirkmann.
A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Monday, Jan. 15, at The Pfeffer Funeral Home & Cremation Care Center, Manitowoc. Officiating at the Memorial Service will be Sister Michael Ann O'Donnell. Cremation has taken place with burial of the cremated remains at Calvary Cemetery at a later date.
The family will greet relatives and friends at The Pfeffer Funeral Home & Cremation Care Center, Manitowoc, from 5:30 p.m. Monday until the time of the memorial service at 7 p.m.
The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the staff at the Manitowoc Health Care Center for their compassionate care and support given to Annabelle and her family.
