Services for James Carlice Edwards, 95, of Denver City were held at 2 P.M., Friday, January 28, 2000. at First Baptist Church with Rev. Bob Fred officiating and the Rev. Bob Webb assisting. Burial was in Tahoka Cemetery. He died Wednesday, January 26, 2000, at Memorial Hospital in Seminole.
Carlice was born June 28, 1904, in Waldo, McLennan Co., Tx. He married Ruth Estelle McCord on Dec. 24, 1927, in Tahoka. She died in 1974. He married Mineola Varner on Nov. 11, 1976, in Lovington, N.M. She died in 1987. He moved to Denver City from New Home in 1960.

He was a 50 year member of the Masonic Lodge in Tahoka and belonged to the First Baptist Church in Denver City.

Survivers include a son, Don Mac Edwards of Denver City, a step-son, James Ernest Varner
of Ft. Worth, a brother, Wilson Edwards
of Lubbock, and a sister, Irma Faye Danklefs
of Lubbock.
