Services for Velma I. Godwin, 84, of Lubbock were held at 10 A.M. Monday in Resthaven Funeral Home with Dale Spencer and Hermie Nelson, both of Canyon, officiating.
Burial was in Resthaven Memorial Park.
She died Friday, May 9, in the Lutheran Home of West Texas after a lengthy illness.
She was born in Crawford and had lived in Lubbock since 1943. She married Thomas Godwin in 1921 in Tahoka. He died in 1957. She was a member of the Church of God.
Survivors include three sons, Julias of Clarendon, Kenneth of Tulia and Truman of Abernathy; a daughter, Doris Koshers of North Bellemore, NY; two brothers, Carlice Edwards of Ranger and Wilson Edwards of Plains; a sister, Irma Danklefs of Lubbock; 11 grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Kenny Bryan, Todd Bryan, Dennis Bryan, Gary Schwede, Wayne DuBose, David Sanderson, and Carl Godwin.
