Mr. Stapleton was born Oct. 13, 1895 in Virginia.

Survivors are his wife, Bell Stapleton of Greenville, a daughter, Jean Parkhill of Crosbyton; a brother, Randolph Stapleton of Fort Worth; a sister, Mrs. Pearl Hoff of Greenville; one grandchild and one great-grandchild.

Bryon (sic) M. Stapleton, 85, of 6322 Stonewall St., Apt., 105-A, died Thursday at 1:30 p.m. at Greencrest Manor.

Service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in Sorrells-Peters Chapel with the Rev. Leonard Mansen officiating.

Burial will be at Forest Park Cemetery with O.B. Rogers, L. Medford, James Walker, J.C. Hoff, Joe B. Peters and Dr. Henry Mehmert serving as pallbearers.

Mr. Stapleton was born Aug. 13, 1895, in Lee County, Va., the son of J.C. and Almeda Marcum Stapleton. He married Ora Bell Mays in Greenville on Sept. 28, 1920. He was a retired engineer for the Farmers and Merchants Compress, a member of the Oddfellows Lodge and a veteran of World War I.

Surviving are his wife, Bell, Greenville; a daughter, Jean Parkhill, Crosbyton; a brother, Randolph Stapleton, Fort Worth; a sister, Mrs. Pearl Hoff, Greenville; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
