Funeral services are pending for Mr. Bill Stapleton, 84, of Houston who died Tuesday in a Houston hospital.
He was born in Lee County, Virginia on Feb. 3, 1892 to J.C. and Almeda Stapleton. He married the former Ruby Ingram in Greenville on Dec. 24, 1916.
His survivors include his wife; two brothers, Randolph Stapleton of Fort Worth and Byron Stapleton of Greenville; and two sisters, Mrs. Pearl Hoff and Myrtle Stapleton, both residents of Greenville.
Sorrells & Sons funeral home will be in charge of arrangements.

William M. Stapleton, 84, of 424 E. 25th in Houston died Tuesday afternoon at a Houston hospital. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Forest Park Cemetery with Revs. John Cope and Chief Warden officiating.
Born Feb. 3, 1892 in Lee County, Virginia, he was the son of J.C. and Almeda Marcum Stapleton. He married Ruby Ingram Dec. 24, 1916 in Greenville. Mr. Stapleton worked as a cotton compress operator and was a member of the Christian faith.
Survivors include his wife, Roy (sic) Stapleton of Houston; two brothers, Randolph Stapleton of Fort Worth and Byron Stapleton of Greenville; two sisters, Mrs. Pearl Hoff and Myrtle Stapleton both of Greenville; several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
