Death of Mrs. Ann Agar.
Mrs. Ann Agar, whose serious illness we notices several days ago, breathed her last about six o’clock Friday morning. She was born in Ireland, but had been a resident of this city for a number of years and was well known and highly respected.
The surviving children who were at her bedside when death occurred are Messrs. John, Robert, Walter, and Alexander Agar, of this city; Mr. George Agar of Erie, and Mrs. Rebecca McCaffrey, Mrs. Caroline Larkins, Mrs. James Sides (Seid), and Mrs. Mollie Munroe, also of this city. Mrs. Agar was a devout Catholic.
The Funeral.
All that was mortal of the late Mrs. Ann Agar was laid to rest in the Catholic cemetery, Sunday forenoon. Friends gathered at her late residence at 8 o’clock in the morning and followed the remains to the Water street Catholic church, where impressive services were held. Deceased was a most estimable lady, highly respected throughout her life. She was a devout member of the Catholic church.
The Agar brothers desire to return thanks tot the friends and neighbors who assisted at the funeral, and to Mr. Sloan for services and a handsome motto.
