Mrs. Rebecca McCaffrey, was found dead in bed this morning about 8 o’clock at her home, West Water street. She had been in failing health for some time, due to a complication of diseases incident to old age, but her condition had not become serious until about two days ago.
She was in her 88th years and was born at Farrandsville, coming to this city as a young girl and residing here ever since. She was a member of the Church of the Immaculate Conception.
Her only survivors are a grandson and granddaughter, Joseph P Critchfield, at home and Miss Margaret E. Critchfield, of Lancaster.
