Brice Bedford "B.B." Achord, a retired T.E.L. operator with Ethyl Corp. with 35 years of service, died at 8:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 13, 2004, at Baton Rouge General Medical Center-Mid City. He was 86 and a resident and native of Baton Rouge. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II.
Survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Joann and Bob Harrell of Central and Barbara Quinn Nichols of Baton Rouge; a brother, the Rev. Arthur Achord; 10 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild.
Preceded in death by his wife, Lucille Lewis Achord; son, Brice Achord III; grandsons, James Hutchinson Jr. and Jaye Patrick Quinn; son-in-law, Richard "Dickie" Quinn; parents, Brice Sr. and Zaidee Achord; 10 brothers and sisters; and a caring friend, Millie Hall.
