Sgt. Major James S. Null of Forest Park died Tuesday, June 18, 2002. He was a retired US Army Sergeant Major and served in Korea and Vietnam. He attended First Baptist Church of Jonesboro. He was a member of Masonic Lodge 31, Grenada, Miss., a 32nd Degree Scottish Rite Mason and a member of the Yaarab Temple. He was a founding member of the Retired Enlisted Association and a member of the Sergeant Major's Association. Mr. Null also worked for the Atlanta Braves organization and was a retired civil service worker with 20 years of service.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. today, Thursday, June 20, in Ward's Fairview Chapel.
Interment will follow in Fairview Memorial Gardens.

Survivors include his daughters, Cindy and Don Gardner of Natchez, Miss., Amy and Tim
Osborne of Stockbridge, and Pam and Marty Mazikowski of Kennesaw; grandsons, Jeffrey Gardner of Natchez, and Chris Osborne and Adam Osborne, both of Stockbridge; sisters, Estelle Murphy of Witchita Falls, Texas, Mary Lou Boyd of Fort Worth, Texas, and Carrie Wood of Jackson, Miss.; brother, Joe Null of Ruston, La.
