In 1950 she married Donald Heiney Sr. and moved to Allentown, PA. There she worked over 50 years in the garment manufacturing industry, eventually retiring from TAMA Mfg. of Northampton, PA. Most recently she was married to the late Gernard Ockenhouse. Following her retirement, she returned to the Wadesboro, NC area and worked at Wendy's Restaurant for the last ten years.
Survivors: Survivors include: two children, Margaret Sellers (James, Jr.) of Wadesboro and Donald Heiney, Jr (Sandy) of Bath, PA; five grandchildren, Jamie Treadaway (Mike) of Polkton, James Sellers III of Wadesboro, Eric Heiney (Kelly) of Slatington, PA, Melinda Snyder (Rich) of Shippensburg, PA and Dora Margaret Burns (Jermaine) of Wadesboro; three great-grandchildren, James Dillon Sellers of Morgan City, LA, Chloe Grace Treadaway of Polkton and Kendall Heiney of Slatington, PA; and an adopted daughter, Diane Frantz of Coplay, PA. She is also survived by a sister, Martha "Pat" Leviner of Rockingham; two brothers, Jasper Sellers of Lake City, FL and Jimmy Cannon of Concord. She was predeceased by a daughter, Judy Ann Heiney and both of her husbands, Donald, Sr. and Gernard.
Services: Funeral services will be 11:00AM Friday at Leavitt Funeral Home with Rev. Rodney Clements officiating. Interment will follow in Anson Memorial Park.
