He was the younger son of Thomas Doggett and Elizabeth Bouts and my 4 x Great Uncle on my mother's side.

He was baptized 14 August 1770 at St Mary Stoke Newington. He married (1) Mary Davison 1764 - 1893 on 9 June 1799 at St Martin in the Fields. Two children Thomas 1800 - 1876 and Mary 1801 - 1802. He married (2) Hannah Griffin 1772 - 1811 on 3 March 1804 at St John Hackney. Two children Mary Ann 1805 - 1890 and Thomas 1800 - 1876.

His date of birth comes from Samuel Bradlee Doggett's book. Judging from this reference in the National Archives he seems to have been a cow keeper like his son James: FILE - SHACKLEWELL LANE; LEASE for 61 years - ref. M753 - date: 12 Jun. 1824 Contents William George Daniel Tyssen, Esq., of Fitzroy Square, to Thomas Doggett, Cowkeeper, of Shacklewell. Houses and land in Shacklewell Lane W. of Manor House. Plan. & COUNTERPART.

He was buried at West Hackney on 25 April 1829.
