LA JOSE -- Harry Bennett, 71-year-old resident of LaJose R.F.D. in Chest Township, died at 7:30 p.m. last night within a few seconds after his son-in-law, Irwin Spade, of this place, found him lying on the floor of his shanty-home in Chest Township.
Dr. E.S. Erhard, Clearfield County Coroner stated today that death was attributed to acute dilation of the heart. Mr. Bennett had been suffering from a heart condition for the past five years.
Death came at 7:30 o'clock last night, and no inquest will be held, Dr. Erhard said.
The deceased lived by himself in the one-room shanty. His wife preceded him in death some years ago and a son is serving in the armed forces.
Funeral arrangements are pending until the son can be reached.

LA JOSE -- Funeral services for Harry Bennett, 71, LaJose R.D. resident, who died at his home near here, will be held from the McCracken Funeral Home in Mahaffey at 2 p.m. Friday afternoon with Mr. J.L. Miller officiating. Interment will be made in the New Washington Cemetery.
