"Mrs. Jessie Wilson Scramlin, 85, Cherry Valley, died last Thursday at the Mary Imogene Bassett Hospital, Cooperstown, after a short illness. She was the widow of Linwood Scramlin. Mrs. Scramlin was a member of the Cherry Valley Methodist Church and the Cherry Valley Rebekah Lodge. She is survived by a daughter, Miss Florence W. Scramlin; a son, Louis G. Scramlin; a grandson and two great-grandsons. The funeral service was held at the Ottman Funeral Home, Cherry Valley, at 2 p.m. Sunday. The Rev. Myron A. Tripp, pastor of the Cherry Valley Methodist Church, officiated. Burial will be made in the Cherry Valley Cemetery in the spring. The Rebekah service will be held at 8:30 p.m. Saturday."
