She was born Aug. 26, 1920, in Benson, the daughter of Edward and Sena Sloter Warnkes (Gesina Janssen). She married Alfred Kettwich on July 9, 1939, in Benson. He died May 25, 2007.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two sons, one brother and one sister.
Mabel worked as a housekeeper at Maple Lawn in Eureka. She was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Minonk, Woodford County Home Extension of Eureka and the Bowling Green Community Club.
Services will be Sunday at 1 p.m. at the church with the Rev. Ed Sinclair officiating. Visitation will be Saturday from 4 to 6 p.m. at Ruestman-Harris Funeral Home in Minonk and Sunday from noon to 1 p.m. at the church. Burial will follow the service in the Minonk Township Cemetery, Minonk.
Memorials may be made to the church or to Heritage Health in Minonk.
