Bernice was born Nov 7, 1916 at Sabetha, the daughter of Lewis and Edith Pearl Myrick Thompson. She lived in Emporia from 1956 until 1972, when she moved to South Carolina. She was a retired restaurant manager.
She was married to Charles H Levings on July 17, 1934 at Holton. He died May 5, 1962.
Survivors include two sons, Richard L Levings, Irmo, SC, and Bernard C Levings Great Bend; four sisters Mrs. Tillie Moyer, Centralia; Mrs. Ethel Seibert, Topeka, Mrs. Mary Nelson, Tacoma and Mrs. Lucy Sanders, Milton, Washington; a brother Edwin Thompson, Highlands, Texas and eight grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband and daughter Cheryl Ann.
