ELLEN MAE PENNEY, age 75, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family at Henrico Doctors Hospital, VA on December 11, 2012. Ellen, born San Diego CA 1/22/1937 was raised in Ithaca NY and area, moving to the Peninsula in the late 60's, where she and her husband dealt in fine antiques. Her passion was that of family and friends. Ellen's wonderful spirit radiated through her sense of humor and great smile. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Penney; her mother, Ellen Cook; her sister, Janice Pitchford; and her grandson, John Penney Jr. Mrs. Penney's memory lives on through her adoring family which includes her children, John Penney, Rhonda Penney and Natalie Bluhm (Justin); four siblings, Josephine, Laurie, Clinton, and Edward; seven grandchildren, Rachel, Rebekah, Jenny, Chelsea, Brandon, Collin, and Gavin; five great-grandchildren; and her lifelong friend, Nat Multari. Her memory is cherished by those who knew and loved her. Services are private, with arrangements by Weymouth Funeral Home.
