HARVEY GORDON TEETER was born on Mecklenburg Road, Ithaca NY. He is buried near his brothers, Herbert and Richard, and other relatives, to include one of his daughters, Patricia. His parents, William Hymes Teeter and wife, Anna Louise (White) Teeter are buried across the road, in the older Hayts cemetery. Harvey is one of 17 children, with 14 surviving to adulthood. Harvey served in the Marines and the Navy. He married twice, having children by both wives. He loved hunting and built his own homestead.
To date, 6/2015, Harvey has lost his daughters Patricia Lou Piech 2008 of NY, Janice Marion Pitchford 2009 of TN, Ellen Mae Penney 2012 of VA, Judith Ann Wilson 2013 of TN, and his first born son, Clinton Harvey Teeter 2015 of TN, leaving his surviving children (Josephine, Laurie, Edward, and William).

Harvey's first wife, Ellen, died in March of 2004 Virginia. Harvey's second wife, Elizabeth, died in February of 2018 Georgia.
