Mrs. Adella M. Leonard, 83, widow of Peter L. Leonard, died Monday afternoon at her home, 139 North street, following an illness of three months. Mrs. Leonard was born in Cheshire and had made her home in this city for over 50 years. She was a member of the First Congregational church. Survivors include an adopted daughter, Miss Minnie Austin, chief operator at the local Telephone ex-change, and a brother, Fred Field of Pownal, Vt. The body was removed from the Simmons Funeral Home to her late home yesterday afternoon. The funeral will be held Thursday afternoon at 2.30 o'clock, and burial will be in Maple Street cemetery, Adams. Rev. Percy E. Thomas will officiate.
