Services for Virgil Perry Haley of New Home will be at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, October 20, 1997 at the New Home Baptist Church with the Rev. Morvis Pruit officiating.
Mr. Haley died Friday, October 17, 1997 at St. Mary's Plains in Lubbock.
Mr. Haley was born in Commerce, Texas on October 14, 1914. He graduated from Post High School. He married Havah Pool on November 1, 1942 in Fieldton, Texas. He was a retired farmer and member of the New Home First Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by one son, Rick.
He is survived by his wife, of New Home; a son, Dennis P. Haley of Hondo, Texas; a daughter, Cindy Bell of Atlanta, Georgia; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Ruby Claborn and Addie Brown, both of Post.
Interment will be at Tahoka Cemetery under the direction of White Funeral Home of Tahoka.
The Family suggests memorials and donations be made to the New Home Baptist Church Library Fund.
