Services for Addie Brown, 90, of Lubbock will be at 2 p.m. today, at the First Baptist Church in Post, with the Rev. Steve McMeans of Indiana Ave. Baptist Church in Lubbock officiating. Burial in Terrace Cemetery will be under the direction of Hudman Funeral Home.

She was born Sept. 28, 1916, in Hunt County. She married Terrell Brown on Jan. 2, 1949. He preceded her in death on May 27, 1995. They farmed near Close City during many of their years together before moving to Post in 1967. After moving to Post, they both worked at Postex Cotton Mill for eight years and later at the First Baptist Church for 15 years. Addie moved to Lubbock in 1999 and had lived the last few years in Bender Terrace Nursing Home.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Oliver F. and Emily Haley. Brothers and sisters that preceded her in death were: Lorene Gerner, Ruby Claborn, V. P. Haley and R. W. Haley.

She is survived by one son, Larry and wife Betty Brown of Lubbock; one granddaughter, Cathey Brown of Lubbock; and one brother, J. M. Haley of Lubbock.
