Elizabeth M. Lohman, 91, of the 7200 block of Granby St. died Jan. 22, 1997, in a local hospital.
Mrs. Lohman was a member of St. Andrews Episcopal Church for over 60 years. She was a past president and a member of Lakewood Garden Club; an honorary member of Charity Circle of the Children's Hospital of The King's Daughters; a life member of the Virginia Federation of Garden Clubs; a member of the Gray Lady World War II Marine Hospital; and a charter member of the Norfolk Botanical Garden Society.
Mrs. Lohman, a native of Norfolk, was predeceased by her husband, Southgate Leigh Lohman Sr; a son, Southgate Leigh Lohman Jr.; a daughter-in-law, Avalee H. Lohman; and a great-grandson, Griffith H. Lohman Jr.
She is survived by a son, Herbert L. Lohman; a daughter-in-law, Sallie Lohman; two sisters, Mary H. Fant and Bessie H. Johnson; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
A graveside funeral will be conducted at noon Friday in Forest Lawn Cemetery by the Rev. Charles Joy. The family requests that donations be made in lieu of flowers to the charity of your choice. Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive, is handling arrangements.
