Stella Hayman Jordan, 85, of Narrow Shore Road, Aydlett, died January 8, 1993, in Albemarle Hospital, Elizabeth City.

Mrs. Jordan was a native of Texarkana, Texas, and was a dietician with the Currituck County, N.C., school system from 1949 to 1960; the Virginia Beach school system from 1961 to 1974; and the Currituck Hunt Club from 1980 to 1992. She was a member of Sharon United Methodist Church, Poplar Branch, N.C., and Order of the Eastern Star, Coinjock Chapter (NU)218. She was the widow of Howard A. Jordan, Sr.

She is survived by two sons, Marion D. Jordan of Virginia Beach and Allen J. Jordan of Aydlett; three sisters, Elizabeth H. Lohman and Bessie H. Johnston, both of Norfolk, and Mary H. Fant of Orlando, Fla.; 10 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday in Lynnhaven United Methodist Church, Little Neck Road, by Dr. Dee Pendley, III. Burial will be in Rosewood Memorial Park. An additional memorial service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 17, in Sharon United Methodist Church in Poplar Branch by the Rev. Greg McGarvey. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, Virginia Beach Unit, 2730 Ellsmere Ave., Norfolk, Va. 23513. The family will be at the home of Marion D. Jordan, 776 Nottingham Drive, Virginia Beach. Maestas Funeral Home, Baltic Avenue Chapel, is handling arrangements.
