Joe Belle Robinson, 89, of Tahoka, departed this life on April 26, 2009. She was born March 23, 1920 in Tahoka, to George R. and Cleo (McGonagill) Milliken. She graduated from Tahoka High School in 1938. Joe Belle married Jack Alley Robinson in Lubbock, on Oct. 8, 1941; he preceded her in death on April 5, 1996. Mrs. Robinson was a Beautician and she retired in 1998. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Tahoka.
Those left to cherish her memory are one daughter, Julie Scott Tucker and husband David, of Wylie; one son, Britt Robinson, of Tahoka; and one great-grandson, Alex Robinson.
Joe Belle is preceded in death by her husband; parents; seven sisters; one brother; and one grandson, Jackie Robinson.
Celebration of Life Services will be 10 a.m., Wednesday, April 29, 2009, at the First Baptist Church in Tahoka with Rev. Richard Harbison officiating. Interment is to follow at Nevels Memorial Cemetery.
