ODESSA-- Our precious Mother, Polly Glidwell, 75, went to be with the Lord Saturday, May 3, 2003. She was born August 29, 1927, in Louann, Ark., to Archie B. and Alice Adams. She moved to Odessa in 1960 and worked as a cashier for Everybody's Super Market and Furr's Super Market for many years. She was a member of West Odessa First Baptist Church.
Mom met the love of her life, Johnny B. Glidwell Sr. and they married December 19, 1981, and were "soulmates" on eart until his death in 1999. They are now reunited in Heaven.Polly was a
beautiful and loving mother to her children,
She was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Glidwell Sr., parents and a speical grandbaby, Jason Stewart.
Mother was a gracious and beautiful lady who leaves behind many friends and family who loved and cherished her. There is now a great void in our lives, but she will forever remain in our hearts. We love you Mom.
Pallbearers are Bill Evans, Ed Taylor, James White, Mike White, Gaylon Whitley and James Rowan.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 7, 2003, at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home Chapel with Brother A. D. Kyle officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
II Timothy 4:6-7 "For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand, I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith."
