Myrtle Alice (Adams) Garner, 102, passed away at Ballinger Healthcare and Rehab on Sunday, August 27, 2023.

Myrtle was born on June 13, 1921, to Archie and Alice (Beauregard) Adams, in Mooringsport, Louisiana.

She married Clyde Garner on December 22, 1939. They shared 49 years together before Clyde's passing in 1989.

Myrtle was a resident of Eunice, New Mexico for over 60 years, until recently moving to Ballinger to be closer to her son.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; granddaughter, Lori Selisker; and her three siblings, Susie, Harvey, and Polly.

Myrtle is survived by her son Steve and his wife Sheila Garner; grandson, Randy and his wife Brenda Garner; great-granddaughter, Clare Geitz; great-granddaughter Alex and her husband Cameron King; great-great-grandson, Callum King; nieces, Bonita Spivey, Sheila Black, Joann Owens; nephews, Don Blair, Mike Stewart; and her close friends, Tammy Bailey, Tara parker, and Shannon Cummings.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, August 31, 2023, at Sunset Memorial Gardens, 6801 East Hwy 80, Odessa, Texas, at 11:00 a.m., with Gregg Holt officiating.

The family wishes to thank the McCastland family (Bob and Cathy) for their love and support throughout the years.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Senior Citizen Center of Eunice, New Mexico, in Myrtle's honor.
