Eugene "Gene" Prosper Beauchaine of Sherwood, WI passed away on Thursday August 20, 2015, surrounded by his family. He will be deeply missed by his children and their spouses: Susan (Howard) Gundlach, Kathryn Beauchaine (Jeffrey Laudin), Jan (Nick) Grode, Robert Beauchaine (Tara Jones), and Jeffrey (Lynne) Beauchaine. He also leaves his cherished grandchildren: Alan Gundlach, Adam (Lisa) Gundlach, David (Jessica) Gundlach, Nick (Julie) Laudin, Jenny Laudin, Mary Grode (fiance, Chris Arnold), Paul Grode, Jessica Schrage, Jace (Chelcie) Beauchaine; and great grandchildren: Bennett, Josephine, Caden, Brody, Adaline, Layne, and Jerzie. He is also survived by his sister, Jeanette Loomis; sisters-in-law: Peg Beauchaine and June Stangl; and many favorite nieces, nephews and cousins.Gene was born November 19, 1924 in Chicago, IL. He married Elizabeth Stangl, the love of his life, on July 8, 1948 in Marshfield, WI. Gene became a successful businessman in the trucking industry. In his retirement, he was generous with his time and talents, devoting many hours and resources to charities, especially St. Joseph Church and Food Program. His family's well-being was his primary focus. Gene was welcoming to all he met, generous and genuine.He was preceded in death by his ever-loving wife Betty; his brothers, Gerald (Ruth) Beauchaine and James Beauchaine; and brothers-in-law: Gene Loomis and James Stangl.Visitation will be held Saturday (TODAY) August 22, 2015 at ST. JOSEPH PARISH (404 W. Lawrence St. Appleton) beginning at 9:00 a.m. until time of Mass at 10:30 a.m. The Rev. James Leary, O.F.M. Cap. will officiate. Committal St. Joseph Cemetery.
