Services Held For Henry Grimberg, 85

Funeral services for Henry D Grimberg were held Monday, March 10, at the Zion Lutheran Church at Paullina. Rev Melvin Thur officiated. Mr Grimberg passed away Friday at his home in Paullina. Pallbearers were Ray Tesch, Reinhart Massmann, Loren Hurtig, Marvin Freed, Clifford Puhrmann and Leslie Kruse Two hymns were sung by the congregation with Mrs. Clarence Hibbing as organist. Mr and Mrs. Richard Lemke and Mrs. Minnie Wilson were in charge of flowers. Burial was in St John's cemetery at Germanitown with Gaudian Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Obituary

Henry D. Grimberg, son of Diedrich and Anna Ahlhusen Grimberg was born on July 4, 1883, in Rich Township of Cook County, Illinois. He was baptized, confirmed and educated in the Lutheran faith in Indiana. He spent his early youth working in a greenhouse in Indiana. In 1902 he came to the Paullina area.

On February 9, 1906 he was united in marriage to Emma Baldwin. The Lord blessed this union with five children. Mr. and Mrs. Grimberg farmed southwest of Paullina for many years.

In 1952 Mr Grimberg's life was saddened by the loss of his beloved wife Emma. He later retired and moved to Paullina. This has been his home until the Lord suddenly called him to his eternal rest on Friday, March 7 at the age of 85 years, 8 months and 3 days.

He leaves to mourn his passing, his son Walter of Paullina, his one daughter, Evelyn Massmann of Paullina, three grand children and 8 great grandchildren. He is also survived by one brother, Fred of Hammond, Indiana, and one sister, Mrs. Sophia Anderson of Hammond, Indiana,

His parents, one brother, one sister and three children preceded him in death.
