Goldie G. Phillips Brewer

Goldie Grace Brewer of Springfield died at 4:25 a.m. Friday at St. John's Hospital.

She was born in Springfield, the daughter of Robert and Tillie Wilkinson Phillips. Preceding her in death were one brother, Abraham Phillips, and three sisters, Annie Waitkus, Mabel Cawley and Alice Smith.

Surviving are her husband, Bracken "Glen;" four sons, John Cook of Pleasant Plains and Steve, Fred and Danny Cook, all of Springfield; two daughters, Mrs. James (Mary) Clemons of Peoria and Delores Cook of Springfield; 24 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; three sisters, Betty Phillips, Dorothy Black and Minnie Vespa, all of Springfield; one stepbrother, Charles Perkins of Springfield; several nieces and nephews.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Bisch Memorial Home, with the Rev. Herbert Thompson officiating. Burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery.
