Mrs. Tillie M. Perkins, 76, of Springfield, died at 11:05 p.m. Thursday. A resident of Springfield most of her life, Mrs. Perkins was born at Rushville. A daughter, Mabel Cawley preceded her in death. Surviving are two sons, Charles Perkins and Abraham Phillips, both of Springfield; six daughters, Mrs. Alice Anderson, Mrs. Dorothy Black, Mrs. Minnie Vespa, Mrs. Anna Waitkus, Mrs. Goldie Brewer and Betty Phillips; one brother, Elmer Phillips; 35 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. Services at Bisch Memorial Home and burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery. - IL State Journal, Springfield, IL, 4-30-1966

Daughter of Edward and Elizabeth Wilkinson Phillips. She married twice. First marriage was to Robert Marion Phillips (her cousin) and her second marriage was to Charles Perkins. She had 8 children with Robert and one with Charles. Her children with Robert are Maybel, Anna, Abraham, Alice, Goldie, Betty, Minnie and Dorothy. Her child with Charles was Charles Perkins Jr.
