Morris Daniel Anderson, son of Morris and Elsie Anderson, was born March 7, 1928, on a farm near Hebron, Nebraska. He moved to a higher plane at 3 a.m. Wednesday, August 19, 1998. His family was with him.

He was ill with cancer and post-polio syndrome. Morris was a 1930 polio survivor. He did not have disabilities - he had abilities and worked his entire life to prove it.

Morris graduated from Nelson High School in 1946 and attended a Body and Fender trade in Milford, Nebraska, from 1946-47.

Morris and Eleanor (Rudiger) Anderson were married 50 years, July 18, 1998. Survivors include his wife, Eleanor at home in Prairie Home, Missouri; four children, Pat, Bud, Cindy and Becky; seven grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; four sisters, Donna Madson and Judith Kay Mertens, both of Superior, Nebraska, Bonnie Adrian of Brandon, Iowa, and Marlys Waller of Pilot Grove, Missouri; and one brother, Jack Anderson of Fairfield, Nebraska.

Preceding him in death were two brothers, an infant and Eugene Elsworth, a WW II casualty; and one sister, Wanda.

The Anderson family lived in Nelson where Pat and Bud were born. Short stays in Mankato, Kansas, and Hebron, Nebraska, then the big move to Shelby, Montana, for 13 years. Cindy and Becky were born in Montana.

In 1964, after the big Alaska shake, the family packed up and moved to Anchorage, Alaska, for 18 years. Due to health reasons, Morris needed to return to the midwest. A retirement place was purchased in Prairie Home, Missouri.

Morris loved the outdoors and Montana and Alaska's wilderness areas. He was a fisherman until his health prevented it. He hunted deer, elk, antelope, moose and caribou. He earned his private pilots license in 1974 and owned his own Cessna-150.
