Mrs. Eva P. Nikirk, 41 year old RCA worker, died at 6:10 Friday night at the Craigmont Hospital at Madison, Indiana where she had been a patient for the past eleven days. She had remained at work until March 1st and has been in failing health since that time.

Mrs. Nikirk, the wife of John N. [sic] Nikirk of 409 East Twelfth Street, was born in Monroe county on August 28, 1903 to Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Litz, both of whom are deceased.

In addition to the husband, she leaves two sons, Aviation Ordnance Third Class William E. Nikirk who arrived shortly after his mother's death from San Pedro, California; Pfc. Charles Nikirk, who is with the Ninth Army in Germany; two daughters, Joyce Ann and Martha June, both at home; the step mother, Mrs. Etta Litz of this city; a sister, Mrs. Harry Voyles of this city; a half brother, Elmer Litz, serving in France; two half sisters, Mrs. Kenneth Robertson of Smithville and Miss Frances Litz of Bloomington.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 Monday afternoon at the Bloomington Gospel Tabernacle of which she was a member with Rev. Raymond Holkstra of Indianapolis and Rev. Ralph Johnston officiating. Music will be in charge of Miss Mary Ridgeway, Miss Marie Dorsey, and Mrs. Sylvia Duncan.

Pall bearers will be Homer Stacy, Carl, Cletis, and Marshall Nikirk and Harry Voyles. Flower bearers will be Mrs. Wilma Jean Pope, Mrs. Vernadeen Green, Misses Anna Mae and Phyllis, and Juanita Nikirk, and Mrs. Louise Goodman.

The body was returned to the family residence at five o'clock this afternoon and will lie in state there until the funeral hour.
