Mrs. Hilma Carlson, a resident of the Big Springs area for the last 28 years, died Wednesday, June 26, at her farm home after a long illness.
Mrs. Carlson was born February 22, 1871, at Narke, Sweden. She was married to Gustaf Carlson May 13, 1892, in Sweden, The couple came to the United States in 1893.
Mr. Carlson died in 1952.
Survivors include two sons, Milton of Riverside, Cal., and Algot of Alcester, and two daughters, Mrs. Morris Hongslo and Mrs. Iver Stenstrom, both of Alcester.
Funeral services were held at the Big Springs Baptist church west of Hawarden Friday. Burial was in the church cemetery.
