He is survived by wife, Mrs. Emma Sheppard Vanorsdale; daughters, Mrs. Rosalea Lanehart, Mrs. Margaret Stotler, both of Hancock; Mrs. Janet G. Mills, Big Pool; Mrs. Nina N. Reed, Hancock; Mrs. Mary L. Robinson, Hedgesville, WV; Mrs. Emma T. Bishop, Hancock; Mrs. Wanda L. Mellott, Needmore, Pa.; sons, Donald O. Vanorsdale, Hancock; Melvin E., Warfordsburg; 33 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; brothers, Henry and Lewis, both of Martinsburg, WV; Ernest, Hancock.
Funeral services were held at the Grove Funeral Home, Hancock; burial was in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park, Hagerstown.
