He was born Monday, October 12, 1908, in Monongalia County, W.Va., near Wadestown, a son of George and Ella King Delaney.
Mr. Dulaney lived his early life in West Virginia and had lived in Waynesburg 80 years.
He was a member of First Nazarene Church in Waynesburg, where he had been a member since 1933. He had served as a janitor at the church and had assisted in bringing in children to Sunday school for many years.
He was a member of Company K reserves in Waynesburg during World War II.
He had worked for Mather Colleries as a rig builder for Lloyd Moore for several years. He later worked as a custodian at Waynesburg High School and at East Ward Elementary School.
Surviving are his wife of 75 years, Inez Tustin Dulaney, whom he married October 4, 1930; a daughter, Mrs. Louis (Suann) Doutt of Waynesburg; three grandchildren, Gregg Louis Doutt and Amy Sue Doutt, both of Waynesburg, and Mary Beth Doutt of Coraopolis; a special great-grandaughter, Alisha Doutt; a brother, LeRoy Delaney of Waynesburg; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased are five sisters, Edna Blair, Bertha Delaney, Edith Zimmers, Mildred Nelson and Katherine Black; and three brothers, William Delaney, Charles Delaney and Alfred Delaney.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday in Milliken and Throckmorton Funeral Home Inc., 197 North Maiden Street, Waynesburg, where services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, October 10. The clergy will be the Rev. John Poling. Entombment will be in Greene County Memorial Park, Morgan Township, Greene County. Daryl L. Throckmorton, owner/director.
