Mr. A. D. was born November 18, 1930 in Aiken County (Hollow Creek section), the son of the late Amons M. and Idella Blackwell Huckabee.
Mr. A. D. was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years Mary Corley Huckabee; his son, Daniel (Treva) Huckabee; his daughter, Lauren (Randy) Northcutt; grandchildren, Christen Huckabee, Daniel Huckabee, Anna Huckabee, Amber Northcutt, Caleb Huckabee, Lindsey Huckabee, Andrew Northcutt, Sharon Huckabee and Jessica Huckabee, and sister-in-law, Jeanette Huckabee. Mr. A. D. is also survived by a number of nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers, John, R. J. and Charles and sister Lolova Shumpert.
Mr. A. D. was a member of Mt. Hermon Baptist Church. He was an employee of DuPont (Savannah River Plant) for 36 years.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 pm Wednesday in the chapel of Blizzard Funeral Home and Cremation Services. A Service to celebrate the life of Mr. A. D. will be at 2 pm Thursday at Mt. Hermon Baptist Church with the Rev. Josiah Mazzell officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made to Mt. Hermon Baptist Church Paving Fund at 1845 Cedar Creek Road, Pelion, SC 29123.
