Marion J. Allen, 74, of 26 Railroad St., died Sunday at home.
Mrs. Allen retired in 1978 after 10 years of employment at Altmar- Parish-Williamstown High School. She also owned and operated the Salmon River Inn from 1976 to 1986 with her first husband, Howard L. Allen Sr.
Born April 6, 1925, in Rome, daughter of Russell and Belva Wiggins Balch, she attended Sandy Creek schools.
She married Mr. Allen on July 12, 1941. He died Jan. 4, 1996. She married Elmer Skinner on Aug. 10, 1997.
Mrs. Allen was a member of Russell Tryon American Legion Post 1425 Auxiliary and the Williamstown Senior Citizens. She attended the Williamstown Church of Christ and was a former member of Ricard Grange and Amboy Order of the Eastern Star Chapter 877.
Surviving besides her husband are two daughters, two sons, a sister, Faylene Britton, Altmar; seven stepdaughters, 24 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Foster-Hax Funeral Home, Pulaski. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Williamstown.
Calling hours will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
