Alice Susan Truman, born in 1898, was the sixth and youngest child of her parents. Sometime between 1906 and 1910, the family moved from around Lone Oak, Texas (50 miles east of Dallas) to the promising little town of Bomarton in Baylor County, about 160 miles west of Dallas. In 1910 she lived there with her parents and four of her five full siblings. Her sister Martha "Mattie" Truman Rudd had married in 1908 and remained in Hunt County with her husband, Ira Rudd. Alice also had five half-siblings named Hurst from her mother's first marriage and three additional Truman half-siblings from her father's first marriage.

By 1920 she was married to Osee Holland and had a daughter who died in March of 1920 after only 5 weeks of life. Alice and Osee still lived in Baylor County in 1930, but the town of Bomarton was dying out, and by 1940 they had moved a few miles north to Seymour, where they operated a gas station.

Sometime before 1960, they moved to Wichita Falls, Texas, where they spent the rest of their lives. Alice is listed in the obituary of her sister, Willie Myra Truman Adams, as living in Wichita Falls in 1960.

Osee died in Wichita Falls in 1980 and Alice died there in 1983. They are buried in the old Bomarton Cemetery next to their infant daughter, Thelma Mae Holland. Nearby are her parents, Susan Margaret Clack Truman and William Thomas Truman.

Alice Susan Truman Holland was a first cousin of President Harry S Truman. Her father, William Thomas Truman, was the brother of John Anderson Truman, the President's father.
