Joann Smith Fraysier, 75, of Kingsport, went to be with the Lord on Friday, December 25, 2015 at Indian Path Medical Center following a brief illness. She was born in Scott County, Virginia and had resided in Kingsport most of her life. Joann was a proud and loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and homemaker. Mrs. Fraysier enjoyed shopping. She was of the Baptist Faith.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Fred Robert Fraysier; parents, Florence and Charles Smith; three sisters, Freddie Hubble, Zella Starnes, and Betty Smith; and brother, Don Smith.

Joann is survived by two daughters, Tammy Bowery and husband J.B. of Kingsport, Sheila Mullins and husband Darrell of Kingsport; three sons, Jeff Fraysier and wife Donna of Kingsport, Donnie Fraysier and wife Paige of Kingsport, and Mike Fraysier of Kingsport; nine grandchildren, Bradley Fraysier and wife Indya of Kingsport, Aaron Fraysier and fiancé Hannah Long of Kingsport, Lauren Fraysier of Kingsport, Holly Fraysier of Kingsport, Leslie Fuller and husband James of Austin, Texas, Wesley Bowery and wife Brittany of Surgoinsville, Jonathan Bowery and wife Beth of Bristol, Tennessee, Dustin Mullins and wife Kayla of Kingsport, and Travis Mullins and fiancé Jade Monhollen of Kingsport; six great-grandchildren, Isaiah Bowery, Eli Bowery, Madalyn Mullins, Jaxon and Darius Fraysier, and Jaliyah Fraysier; two sisters, Thelma Starnes and Dorothy Bledsoe, both of Church Hill; six brothers, Bill Smith and wife Devota of Gate City, Virginia, Dwight Smith and wife Glenda of Church Hill, Bobby Smith and Chuck Smith, both of Dayton, Ohio, Ronnie Smith and wife Colleen of Fairborn, Ohio, Paul Smith and wife Darlene of Kingsport.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. on Sunday, December 27, 2015 at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. The funeral service will follow with Rev. J.B. Bowery and Rev. Donald Umbarger.

Graveside services will be conducted at 10:45 a.m. on Wednesday at Mountain Home National Cemetery.
