She was born Aug. 15, 1923, near St. Peter to Frank and Catherine (Wasinger) Richmeier. She was a graduate of Trego Community High School, WaKeneey.
She married George Leo Malsom on Feb. 12, 1946, in St. Peter. She was a bookkeeper for Triangle Truck Stop, WaKeeney, retiring in 1980.
Survivors include her husband, of the home; two sons, Dennis Malsom of Goodland, KS; and Bill Malsom of Bartlesville, OK; two daughters, Donna Schmitt of Liberty, MO; and Susan Hearting of Ogallah; four brothers, Ben Richmeier of Thornton, CO; Joe Richmeier of Westminster, CO; Gerald Richmeier of Grand Junction, CO; and Ronald Richmeier of Aurora, CO; four sisters, Julia Scheck of Westminster, CO; Lydia Denning of Norton, KS; Armella Ashworth of Mound City, KS; and Francis Nimz of WaKeeney, KS; 12 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two grandchildren.
Services are Friday at Christ the King Catholic Church, WaKeeney; burial in the Kansas Veterans Cemetery, WaKeneey. Visitation is Thursday at Schmitt Funeral Home, WaKeeney.
