Lidwina "Lydia" Denning was the daughter of Frank and Catherine (Wasinger) Richmeier.

She was born April 26, 1921, in St. Peter, Kansas, and passed away peacefully at the Andbe Home in Norton, Kansas, on September 29, 2020, at the age of 99. Lydia attended the St. Peter Grade School.

On June 17, 1941, she married George Denning in St. Peter. They made their home in Wakeeney and Logan, Kansas, before moving to Norton in 1968. Lydia was a homemaker where she and George enjoyed raising their family of four children. Lydia was also proud of her accomplishment in obtaining her GED. Her loving husband, George, passed away July 20, 2007. Lydia continued to live in their home before moving to the Bieber apartments and later moved into the Andbe Home.

Lydia was a member of the St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Norton, where she served as a Eucharistic minister and in the ladies auxiliary. She also was a gifted quilter.

Survivors include: four children, JoAnn Durbin, Hazel Park, Michigan; Francis (Sherry) Denning, Salina, Kansas; Steve Denning, Red Hill, New Mexico; and Cindy (Steve) Shinners, Highlands Ranch, Colorado; 11 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Joe Richmeier, Denver, Colorado; Gerald Richmeier, Grand Junction, Colorado; Ronald Richmeier, Aurora, Colorado; two sisters, Armella Ashworth, Kansas City, Kansas; and Frances Nimz, Wakeeney, Kansas; other relatives and friends.

Lydia was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one brother, Ben Richmeier and four sisters, Julia Scheck, Helen Knoll, Barbara Malsom and Mary Spies.
