Rev Lambert Ypma, aged 75, of 1444 Johnston st S.E. passed away suddenly Thursday morning at Butterworth hospital. He is survived by his widow, Clara; two daughters, Mrs Garrett Ledeboer of Prinsburg, Minn, and Mrs Martin VanderVeen of Grand Rapids; eight step sons, Peter, Jacob, John, Clarence, Simon, Richard, Harry and Gerrit DeVries; three stepdaughters, Mrs Bernard Penninga, Mrs J Hemple and Mrs R Hettinga; thirty-five grandchildren, three great grandchildren, and one sister, Mrs L Ebling of Grand Rapids. Funeral services will be held Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock at Oakdale Christian Reformed church. Rev J Griffioen officiating. Relatives will meet in the church parlors at 1:30. Interment Rest Lawn Memorial Park. Rev Ypma reposes at the residence until Monday morning. Arrangements by DeVries Funeral Home.

Burial will be in Rest Lawn Memorial park. The body will be at the residence, 1444 Johnston st S.E. until Monday noon.

August 29, 2023 Terry Start - There are some individuals that have suggest an alternate burial site in Comstock Park MI. The cemetery has verified that all three individuals at this alternate site are in fact buried at Rest Lawn and that the markers found at the alternate site may be discarded markers.
