Matt Williams, a 39 year old Polk County (Florida) Sheriff's deputy and his K-9 partner, Diogi, were killed and another deputy was wounded following a traffic stop.
Williams joined PCSO in April 1994. He and Diogi, a German shepherd, have been a team, assigned to the Northwest District K-9 Unit.
Williams is survived by a wife and three children.
