Henry E. Root, aged 69 years, 8 months and 24 days, of near Mt. Airy, died on Tuesday at 7:10 p.m. of complications. He is survived by his widow, Lizzie (nee Ditzler): three children: Jacob of Mt Airy; Harry, of Lebanon; and Vera, wife of Harry Palm, of Ephrata. Ten grandchildren, three sisters: Mrs. Rebecca Wenrich(sic), Mrs Caroline Eberly and Lizzie, wife of Adam Goshert all of Schoeneck.
The funeral will be held on Sunday with services from the home at 10 a.m. and at 10:30 o'clock at Mellinger's church near Schoeneck. Interment will be in the cemetery adjoining. Rev Jay Umberger will officiate. Funeral Director H M Mellinger has charge.
