Alec was a US Army Veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Marlene nee Hitz, Wausau, whom he married November 3, 1978; one daughter, Sherri Hitz, Wausau; his mother, Martha Betts, Merrill, WI and other family and friends.
The funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 27, 2002 at Church of St. Anne, Wausau. Visitation will be from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 6th St., Wausau and again from 10:00 a.m. Saturday until time of services at the church. Burial will be at Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau were there will be full military graveside services conducted by the Mosinee VFW on Monday.
